I had a fabulous weekend. J sent me to a Spa for my birthday. I had a massage, sat in a steam room, and had my makeup done. I showed up for dinner feeling amazing. I had been worried that the massage would be disappointing {kind of like getting a manicure or pedicure- I usually come away thinking why pay money for that?} but it was incredible. I had knots worked out that I had long ago assumed permanent. Now I know why a masseuse goes to school to learn that stuff. And the heated towels and robes? Heaven.
Yup. Best. Gift. Ever.
{Posting late today because I started sleep training Baby R last night. I finally feel comfortable doing so since he doesn't seem to be waking due to hunger or reflux pain, but hasn't been sleeping longer than 3 hours at a time for the last few weeks. On bad nights, he's up every hour. Nonetheless, Baby crying + anxious mother= heartbreaking and exhausting night.}

Oh, I just had my first ever massage last week. That hour vanished all too quickly. Worth the money, I totally agree!
ReplyDeleteSpa day and sleep training should go hand in hand, really. :) So glad you had a wonderful birthday!
ReplyDeleteSpa Day = instant gratification
Sleep Training = delayed, but ever so worth it gratification. Hope he learns quickly!
May the sleep training pregress quickly giving you and baby R many, many good nights beneficial rest.
ReplyDeleteOur babies are similar ages and mine has regressed this last month. Going crazy but live in an apartment so I am worried about having him cry it out. Let us know how it goes. I need all the tips I can get in order to remember what 3+ consecutive hours of sleep feels like.
ReplyDeleteUh, how funny is it that our B-day's are 1 day apart and we both had a spa weekend as our present? Weird, parallel lives.
ReplyDeleteHappy (late) Birthday!
