I know. It's not even October {yet!} but the kids and I couldn't wait. We dug out all the Halloween decorations and started getting the house decked out for the holidays. Can you blame us? We're just so ready for it to be fall, even if the scorching temperatures outside say otherwise.
Our newest addition to our Halloween arsenal: bats flying across the garage door. Finally, a good use for vinyl decals! And the ghosts were made out of old IKEA curtains and some florist wire.
Now, to put our old costumes on Ebay and start sewing the new ones.... are you ready for Halloween?
those bats are really cool. can't wait until i have a garage again. i'll be adding this to my halloween must-do!
ReplyDeleteI'm ready now that I know you're sewing costumes! Can't wait to see what you've come up with! We'll be getting our Halloween out between sessions of Conference. Is that sacreligious? :)
ReplyDeleteAll a quiver with anticipation to see what you will do this year. I bet it took a good long while to put up all those bats!
ReplyDeleteThat's funny-- we are totally getting our Halloween on during Conference!! Nice to know someone else is, too!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the bats on the garage! We put out most our Halloween stuff 2 weeks ago. There hasn't been a holiday in so long, we were already for some festive decorating!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE what you did with the bats! Where did you get them? I might try the same thing. :) Thanks for the fun inspiration!
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love Halloween. Can't wait to see your costumes this year. Did you make the book covers? That garage door looks batalicious!
ReplyDeleteSo I totally stole the bats idea. Saw them today at Target and HAD to have them! Sure beats drawing and cutting them out by hand on cardstock! (although bat placement doesn't look as good as yours!)
ReplyDeleteLOVE the bats!!! Now that I have my baby here I can't wait to start really celebrating the holidays, including halloween :-)
ReplyDeleteYes, I got the bats at Target. Last year, I tried using cardboard ones by Martha Stewart, but they warped and faded quickly. I like the vinyl ones.
ReplyDeleteNo, I didn't make the book covers-- half of them are real, and the other half I bought on Etsy. :)
As much as we'd love to snag your mr incredible costumes, I just don't think the spandex would quite stretch enough to fit, well definitely not my husband anyway:). Though, that's not a bad idea to look online for some cheaper costumes...I'm not a seamstress these days so its kinda sad, what we want to do and what we end up doing! I love your halloween spirit and its inspired us to get our house up to standard:).
