Our petite little peach trees produced an impressive amount of fruit this year. We harvested most over the weekend.
Some were perfectly sized for eating warm from the sun...
... others were tiny, but just as tasty. We sliced them up and made peach pie a la mode for dessert last night, checking it off of our list of things-we-must-do-this-summer.
Next up? A road trip, the perfect gelato, and s'mores. :)
Lucky, lucky! I would love to grow peaches, but I live in freezing cold MN so that is not an option. You'll have to share your pie recipe.
ReplyDeleteI love peaches so much! The photos have me drooling. I'd like to now make peach cobbler, peach pie and peach ice cream. YUM!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh -- so jealous! I absolutely devoured peaches last year when I was pregnant. I can't wait for the local trees to drop those lovely fruits. yum!
ReplyDeletePeaches are my favorite summer fruit. How wonderful that you can grow your own!
ReplyDeleteWow! Didn't you just plant that last year? or maybe the year before? It was so tiny! Still is, I guess. But what a lot of beautiful fruit! Oh, peaches are my favorite. I'm pretty sure that's what the fruit on the Tree of Life tastes like. The perfect peach, because nothing could possibly taste better.
ReplyDeleteI have peach tree envy. Looks like your little tree is an over achiever, lucky for you.
