I'm officially registered to run the marathon this Saturday. In an effort to prepare myself for the uphill portion, I've been doing incline drills on the treadmill. Granted, I wish I'd had more than a few weeks to condition myself in this manner, but as it stands, I think I'm as ready as I'm going to get. For now, I rest, drink lots of fluids, and pray that this cold I've been fighting doesn't get any worse. Easy, compared to ignoring the butterflies in my stomach.....

Good luck! I'll keep you in my prayers :)
Break a leg (I know part of you probably hopes you do) - I understand the butterflies. That part never went away for me, no matter if I was running the 400 or a 5k. Don't forget your pasta party the night before! And good luck!
Good luck and have fun! I am sure you will do great!
You are a braver (and obviously fitter) woman than I. Best of luck!
good luck, i'm sure you'll do great!
I'm so proud of you, I just can't help it! Just for doing it. You know, Surprise is just always going to hold a special spot in your heart now...
You go, girl! I could never do that---I can't run for more than 5 minutes, so I really admire anyone who ca...
whoops---
can...
Run your heart out! I'm cheering for ya.
I'm thinking about ya! And so are all the people in my ward. They keep asking "how's your cousin doing? Has she run the marathon?" You're famous here--hope you don't mind. :) That is a STEEP climb. I'm praying that your cold is gone and that things go well.
