Still Here

I bet you were expecting a birth announcement by now. HA! Nope. Still here, still pregnant. It's like a sick joke, really.

I've had the mad day, where loved ones ran from my presence if they were wise.

I've had the crying day, where J graciously kept the kids out of the house for an entire 8 hours so I could wander around in tears over the injustice of my continued incubating-state.

I've had the 'I'll clean the house for the last time before the baby comes' day, only it always turns out NOT to be the last time before the baby comes, so I've given up on that strategy. The baby can just arrive in a dirty house, I don't care.

I've had the 'let's stay busy with errands and shopping and taking the kids to a matinee' type of day. {result= no more cabin fever, but very swollen feet.}

Now I'm having a "I'll watch movies and eat bon bons" kind of day. We bought a ClearPlay DVD player, which is allowing us to catch up on all the R rated movies we've missed since starting our R rated ban about 6 years ago. {favorite so far: Gran Torino.}

Hopefully, there are no further variations on being sick of being pregnant, and the baby will have to make it's appearance.

Like, today.

I wonder if the baby's timing is indicative of his/her personality: slow and easy-going? One can hope.

I've been checking your blog a couple of times a day. I confess, thinking that the incubation had ended and that the new baby was taking up all your time.

I know what Dragonfly would suggest but I can't write it in a comment. Worked for her though......

Thanks for the ClearPlay suggestion, I think our whole family will love it and start a revolution:). Hang in there! This baby may have its own due date in mind, hopefully not my son's birthday:).

I think about you often. Being pregnant stinks especially when it is so darn hot outside. I hope so badly that your baby hurries up already and that you don't have a 10 pound baby like I almost did. I miss seeing you every week.
