It's been two weeks since baby was born-- two weeks that have flown by in a blur of late nights, soft skin, downy hair and scented baths.
He has been such a dreamy, mild boy. We've waited with dread for the signs of painful reflux that have afflicted each of my other boys, but his have been few and far between. At first I was hesitant to acknowledge our good fortune {didn't want to jinx it} but now I find myself saying things like, "He sleeps! He smiles! He lays on a blanket and kicks!" with the same degree of awe one would reserve for statements like, "Unicorns are real! They can heal you with a touch of their horn!"
I had no idea babies could be like this. He's so perfect, it's surreal.
In other news, I'm thrilled to have ankles once more; I've been seriously tempted to send the older kids to public school until I have the energy to start up homeschooling again; Little Miss C is planning her birthday party with her Nana; and all the fall catalogues have me excited to wear real clothes sometime soon.
Life is good. :)

Congrats to your and your husband. I still wish I was around to hold Baby and all of your others.
And I am going to need an email with his real name!
Love you.
He is perfect! Truly! Enjoy him.
I want to just breathe him in - he's so sweet. Thanks for the update, we wish we could know his name! Congrats to your whole family.
He's adorable and your unicorn example had me laughing :). I'm so happy for your little family!
what a cutie, I keep expecting him to look just like your other 2, since they look so much alike, but so far he looks a little different to me. we'll see. I am so happy for you that you are able to experience a baby that isn't in pain all the time!!! love ya.
ABsolutely beautiful. And you don't do a bad job of accessorizing him, either ;) this little guy's got great taste! He looks like a bundle of pure joy.
He is so adorably delicious. What a delight to read this post and know that all is going well with this sweet new boy and his mommy. Happy tired days Melancholy but ones to be treasured and enjoyed. Life is good, you are absolutely right.
He looks like he's got an extra dose of wisdom. Seriously a beautiful boy. I'm so glad he's healthy and you are enjoying him so much! Last night before bed I determined to email you this morning and tell you that I hope the joy of the early weeks is far outweighing the hard parts (it always does outweigh them, but sometimes not by a lot). So glad it sounds like it is!
Oh, so sweet for you and the wee babe. That downy head looks divine.
I am so sincerely happy for you. I am so glad he is such an angel. What a wonderful gift. He is breath taking. He definitely takes after you.
