Though I don't mean to, I often seem to fall into the habit of wearing the same outfit {with minor variations} every day. This is my current go-to ensemble.
It has a few things going for it: it fits, it's warm, and it isn't a dress.
It also has a few baffling elements. Skinny jeans? Horizontal stripes? Why is it that I was scared to death of these things two years ago {when I was admittedly much thinner} but now I'm in love with them, whether they make me look wider or no.
I choose to take it as a good sign. Perhaps my 30's will be the decade when I overcome all these silly body hang-ups and wear whatever I please.
Do you have a daily uniform?
{Joe's Jeans for only $50 at Down East Outfitters, J Crew Striped Painter Tee, Kachiri Boots in Taupe half off at Target, Purple Pea Coat from Forever 21, Grey 'Prada' scarf from some vendor on Canal Street, NYC :)}

I'd wear every single piece of that outfit in a heartbeat! Oh, wait, I do - almost every day! Add a little cardigan and it's me! And I love my Target boots so much I now own them in both gray and brown. Skinny jeans used to scare me too, but they are ultra comfy - like second skin. Maybe I shouldn't be wearing them since I'm 37 - but I. Don't. Care. Will you come be my stylist and put together outfit boards for me every day please?
everypiece is a classic, thats why.
and I LOVE LOVE that you included a cup of cocoa
I have to dress up for work but my off-the-clock uniform is skinny jeans, fitted tee, long slouchy cardigan and ballet flats. I am addicted to cardigans!
Black sweater, black skirt, black net knee-his, black wool flats. I am either a nun or a penguin. :)
But, I realised last night that this year is the first year in my life since I was 10 where I will run to the store without ANY MAKEUP. I still hope I don't run into anyone I know, but I view it as a great accomplishment that I can go places without donning a mask. My next goal is to stop feeling like I am inflicting a great punishment on the world by doing so.
It must be fun wearing a reminder of your NY trip everyday. How romantic.
PS If I could hack into your blog to post your baby picture, I would. I think you should put six baby pictures on your next post - one of each of you guys. (I don't know if I've ever seen one of J....?)
Yeah this is me, I just bought two awesomely long, long sleeve T's from forever 21, one balck one grey and 2 more pairs of their skinny jeans. At least I can change up a shoe or scarf, right? Too cozy to care.
I wear hot cocoa or some food item on my shirt or pants every day...other than that I am the Queen of Cardigans...or at least a minor princess.
So a few questions...how to cute a paste then post? Also for painting an already painted wood surface what do you recommend (the top of a shoe/toy box that was white and now has purple permanent marker on it...wanting to paint the top black?) Thanks and great posts!
Sorry, cut and paste, then post:)
hukolb- by cut and paste, do you mean the way I put together the fashion board? A really easy way to do it is to use Polyvore.com. :)
As for painting the toy box: I'd clean it, lightly sand it, paint, then use rub-on polyurethane to protect it. Primer would be optional, but since it sounds like such a small surface, I wouldn't bother.
