Can I Stay or Should I Go Now

The {relative} peace of the afternoon was interrupted yesterday by the frequent knocks of children looking for Little Miss C or E to come outside and play. Out of frustration, I finally made on of those door hangers I've been meaning to make. I'm hoping that the graphics, combined with the visual cues of red and green might help even the non-readers to get the message.

Want to make one as well? You can download my PDF file here. Here's hoping for quiet{er} afternoons!

EDIT: Some people have complained that they can't print from the Scribd page, so here's a link to the google doc. Hope that helps!

PS- Prayers for my little niece, still in the hospital today being treated for Kawasaki Syndrome. Hang in there Tober!

What a neat idea! I'm not quite there yet, but I think some of my sisters-in-law could use these to help save a little of their sanity :)

I love the color of your front door.

Nice touch. I especially like the Dick and Jane graphics! I'd need them for the backdoor and in pin form for backpacks too.

Super cute and GREAT idea! And I agree about the door. It think it's the best door color I've ever seen.

What a great idea! I could not get this to upload onto my computer. Any chance you could email it to me?

Here from Pinterest. I had one of these for a while...or something similar. Little turds just stole it off my front door and continued to ring my bell every fifteen minutes. Use the same idea but put it in a front window.

I apologize for calling my neighbor's children "turds". They are delightful in every way...eyeroll.

I love the title of this post......could just hear "The Clash" singing it! Our neighbors' children were never much of a problem, but I'm pretty sure my kids "over-visited" at times.

What a great idea~ Love it. So cleaver! Thanks for sharing.

On a side note, my now almost 7 yo went through a bout with what we later learned to be A-typical Kawasaki disease. The whole month of Dec 2010 and into part of Jan 2011 is a blur. But through prayers from my church family and those around not only lifting me up through prayers, providing food, and just generally listening to me, we got through it. I certainly hope your niece is doing well today. This is my first time on your blog - thanks to P31 posting your fabulous idea, but I will be back!!

This now cost money to download from scrib. Any chance you can change that so it is still free?

Kristin-

It's still free! You may be distracted by their ad that says they can print 4000 doorhangers for $99 or something, but x that out and it should take you to the PDF. Just download, print and you're ready to go!

Hope that helps!

I could not download or print this without paying money. You said in the comments that it's free, but I don't see how.

Glad we aren't the only ones! We have a stop sign that we put in the front door! My husband often works from home and while my son is away at school others were only in half day school. So there were constant rings at the door. We explained to all my sons friends what the sign meant and they followed it. Works great!!!

We started using a stop sign in our front door last year. Explained it to the neighborhood kids and it works like a charm!Every kids house should install one. Great graphics on yours!
