After a week of chilly, overcast weather, we finally had a bright and sunny day. We ushered the children out the door for an entire day spent in the fresh air.

I love my mom's striped picnic blanket. :)

The boys created a Lightning-McQueen inspired race track in the sandbox. They LOVE the sandbox, spending so much time in it that I've started to consider the logistics of building our own.

One thing to note, however-- lollypops and sandboxes don't mix.

Baby R joined in, complete with little "vrrrrom" noises. *sigh* I love Washington in the summer!

Build a sandbox! You won't regret it! (unless you dislike sand in your house) :)
