Weekend

We had a nice weekend, though as usual, it flew by so fast that I'm a bit shocked that the calendar already proclaims that it's Monday.

Friday was spent watching a scary movie marathon. I sat and sewed costumes and let the kids make an absolute disaster of the house, which we then had to clean in a whirlwind attempt to make the place presentable minutes before guests arrived on Sunday. {As you can see from the photo, it's now clean enough to feed the children off of the floor!}

On Saturday, Jared helped to film this concert, so I tagged along. It was beautiful, with the highlight being Jane and Claire's touching performance. I enjoyed meeting people that I've only known through blogs, and tried to become accustomed to being approached with the phrase, "You look so familiar, how do I know you?" {Did you see me there? I was the one in the unflattering shade of yellow, hanging out with the hot camera man.}

All in all, a lovely weekend.

I love the cheerio trail! So sweet. What a handsome little guy!
I would have loved to have been able to go to that concert - a little far from VA though...
Hey - I think we have the same floor - my husband just installed a Pergo floor in our family room - is that what you have there? We went around for a long time about what to put in but the Pergo seemed to be the best choice for a high traffic area with kids and big dogs -
Glad you had a good weekend!

I saw the latest post on c-jane, with the link to the story detailing the crash. It was so heart wrenching..and I thought of you because you seemed to have the same strong reaction to that story as I did. Love your blog..have you seen mine yet? It is brand new and not as classy as yours, but I am trying.

I'm so jealous that you were able to attend the concert. Do you know if they are going to post any of the concert. I would love to see the girls sing.
The Nielson's story has changed my life forever. My sister and I have always been close but we are now even closer. I adore my children and husband but make sure to give them all extra attention. You never know what life is going to deal you.

I know that a video of the concert, as well as many of the comments from family, friends and fans will be edited together and put to DVD, but I'm not sure if it will be made publicly available. I'm sure they'll let us know on CJane's website.

The cheerios were my daughter's doing. Her way of getting him to go where she wanted him to. Cute! :)

Okay, so I decided to do a little detective work to see if you were giving away your costumes this year anywhere on your blog...
