Attempting Casual

Drawstring Twill Pants, Old Navy; Red Ballet Flats {similar to shown} Gap; Striped Tank, AE Outfitters; Crochet Trim Henley, Old Navy; Earrings, Oye Modern {don't own these, but wish I did!}

I never hesitate to admit that I am not very good at being casual. I'm far more comfortable in pearls and a pencil skirt than I am in a pair of jeans. {In fact, my jeans are all trouser and skinny styles with hems long enough for 3 inch heels!} So events like our annual July 4th mountain getaway often send me into a panicked frenzy. I raid my closet for anything remotely 'camp' worthy, and scour the thrift stores for a hoodie or two. This year, I supplemented my scant wardrobe with a few Old Navy staples. None of these outfits are earth shattering, but I was ridiculously pleased with them-- they were cheap, fun, and as laid back as I get!

Not to mention SUPER CUTE and very appealing to this 40 weeks pregnant momma who can't wait to have some comfy normal clothes again. Would you please be my personal stylist?

cute! I should take a closer look at Old Navy...I gave it up years ago, but those henleys are adorable.

You are delightfully, cleverly artsy. (I live with wide array of flat sandals, the supply periodically replenished by my nearly-barefooted companion of 30 years, who shows me a sandal in need of super-glue, then buys a replacement pair anyhow....)
