Pink

I've promised Little Miss C her own room for her 8th birthday, so today I'll be taking apart the bunk beds and moving her two brothers into the playroom. She wants to paint her bedroom pink, which means we'll be pouring over paint samples this afternoon. I'm thinking something soft and subtle {like the image above}, but I have a feeling she's wanting something a bit more pepto. It may be a long afternoon.

I love both of those rooms. Pink is my favorite color. It's just so ... lovely. :)
I don't know if you read Making It Lovely, but she recently did this post on picking perfect pink paint and I thought it might come in handy for you!

The two-toned pink idea is a fabulous compromise. My baby sister's room was like that - the top half was pale pink, then there was some white moulding to break it up, and then the bottom half was a darker, more vivid shade. It turned out wonderfully! More work for you, but... definitely a good thing.

Oh, lovely!

Evie got her own bedroom for her ninth birthday! :) but we did zero painting or decorating, really. It wasn't long before Hannah Montanna and High School Musical Posters were plastered everywhere anyway. At first I hated it, but now I recognize it as the room of a girl her age and she loves it. Plus it's cheaper.

Love and happiness, Benjamin Moore. A very subtle pink that looks great with dark brown. Someone once told me: always go for the lightest pink on the card; a little pink goes a long way!

Our daughter also has a pink room - a color called Antique Pearl, I believe it's a Benjamin Moore. It is a very subtle pink - not "in your face" at all. I balanced it out a little by putting some great moulding 2/3 up the wall and painting the top portion of the room a creamy white. Looks great!

I really love the idea of doing one wall a bright, pepto pink like the picture. I think that would be the perfect punch!
