They'd look great on the entry table with these awesome books of poetry, discovered via Design Sponge,
and a monogramed candle as the finishing touch. :) Hey, if I can't paint the entry table black & white {Jared won't let me} at least I can cover it in black & white items, right?

Love everything, but I would spend all my money on the pretty poetry books first.
There's just something so satisfying and dramatic about the combo of black and white. You can't go wrong. Keep working on your hubby . . . maybe he'll cave on the table. :)
i'm really lovinging the bookends and books, especially! your little one wearing the little striped ensemble you posted last would just be the icing on the cake of cuteness.
That bookend is good enough to eat. there's just something about white on white that I never quit being attracted to.
