Did you know that during the genocide, the most respected Muslim leader forbade Muslims from participating in the killing of the Tutsi? As a consequence, mosques became places of refuge for Muslims, Christians, Hutu and Tutsi alike. KINYARWANDA is based on true accounts from survivors who took refuge at the Grand Mosque of Kigali, and recounts how Imams opened the doors to protect the Tutsi in danger and the Hutu who refused to participate in killing.
KINYARWANDA is produced by Tommy Oliver, whom I met while making a film three years ago with my brother. It was recently announced that KINYARWANDA will be premiering in competition at Sundance Film Festival in January! Watch the trailer here, visit their website, friend them on facebook, and get the buzz out!
Good luck KINYARWANDA!

Looks amazing. I read Live to Tell a couple years ago (Immaculee Ilibigaza). It was such an eye opening book!
