Heartwarming

Since talking about our recent financial... difficulties? Crisis? Whatever one calls it when the bank account is overdrawn, bills are piling up and work is scarce--

{typical, is what I call it judging by how many people are facing the same struggles right now.}

-- we've experienced an outpouring of love and encouragement. One reader even offered to send money so I could buy apples to make Thanksgiving pies {but then I found that stash of quarters}!

Earlier this week,  a surprise arrived in the mail from a dear friend:

Isn't that clever? And moving? And seriously impressive? {Just check out those mad origami skills!} It totally made my day.

I get teary-eyed thinking about how wonderful people are, especially considering that those who reach out to us are, by no means, immune to hardship themselves.

Thank you! I wish I could reach thru the computer and give all of you a hug. {and trust me-- I'm not a hugger, so that's saying a lot. }

PS- We put up the tree this week and Baby R can't keep his hands off of it. Luckily, our ornaments consist of spray-painted pine cones, which he can't break. He can, however, throw them like baseballs at unsuspecting passer-bys. :)

The Foster Family Christmas video is such a gift to us all...it's great that you have inspired your readers to give a little of themselves too. For it is in giving that we receive, n'est ce pas?

I love this post - I was/am about to post of the outpouring of love from my latest posts. Even having so many people going through struggles, it's so nice to hear of people sending love and prayers {esp prayers cause those really work}.

Why is that us H's have to go through similar things all at the same time. We just need to buy a ton of land and live off the grid...
