Firelight

Next week, Twilight: Eclipse comes out. I will not be seeing it.

Now, to be clear, I know that I'm in the minority here. And I did actually enjoy some of the books. The way anyone can enjoy angsty-teenage romance novels. But I never felt that they were amazing and I actually hated the last one-- what with Bella being a martyr, birthing a Chuckie doll, and then the anti-climactic war-that-never-happened.

The movies have their charms, but Robert Pattinson and Kristin Stewart annoy me so much I find them completely unwatchable.

This, however. This I can watch:

Can't watch the video outside the US, but I agree with you about the books. Entertaining enough to read, but with plenty to criticise. Certainly not good literature. I've only seen Twilight but plan to see them all, probably, just because, thought I'm already nervous about New Moon. I'm afraid I'm going to hate it.

Super fun short, thanks! The whole biting her lips all the time was dead on.

I loved reading the books! (Though the birthing scene totally grossed me out - I have no idea how they're going to portray that in a movie!) It was fun to be addicted to everything Steph Meyer for a while and have a guaranteed two weeks worth of reading, but now it's kind of like cute vw bugs - every now and then I see one and think "that'd be fun!" but then notice that only 60 year old women seem to be driving them and that takes all the fun out of it....

I got everything I wanted out of the first movie but the second movie made me squirm - so-ooo angsty! That won't stop me from seeing this one, though! :) Good entertainment or bad entertainment, it's still entertainment :) And what else am I doing on a Friday night?

Does it creep anybody else out that she constantly has guys falling in love with little girls? (The Host, and The Twilight Series) Freud would have a lot to say about that...

I never got into the series either, never read a book or watched a single movie, and now I don't feel that bad about it:).

I read the books. It is a compelling story, but horribly written and I have some issues... like with the kind of relationship portrayed. I saw Twilight just as New Moon was coming out. The movie was SO BAD, (you are right, Pattinson and Stewart are annoying!) I had to wait 6 months to purge my mind before daring to see New Moon. I am not sure about seeing Eclipse...
